Hi All,
A reading list which i feel i would give to someone who is starting out to becoming a serious trader would be as follows.O'neil's book, "How to make money in stocks" ( Mcgraw-hill, newyork, NY 1988). Another book that is must reading is "How i made two million dollars in the stock market" by nicholas darvas ( Lyle stuart, inc., Secaucus, NJ 1986). A lot of people laugh at the title, but it is fun reading and u learn a ton from this book. Another book i would recommend is "Reminisceenes of a stock operator" by Edwin Lefevre ( reputedly about Jisse Livermore). Livermore himself wrote a very thin volume, "How to trade in stocks" ( Institute for economic and financial research, Albuquerque,NM, 1986).A good one what to look for individual stocks is "Super Performance Stocks" by Richard Love ( Prentice Hal, Englewood Cliffs, NJ, 1977). The book has a great study on the greatest winners of all time. Another good one on picking stocks is " Profile of a growth stock" by Kermit Zieg and Susannah H. Zieg( Investors Intelligence, Larchmont, NY, 1972). I would also recommend Marty Zeig's book, "Winning on Wall street" ( Warner Books inc., NY, 1986) and Stan Weinstein's " Secrets for profiting in Bull and Bear markets"( Dow, Jones-Irwin,NY,1988), which has some good sections on short selling. Finally, on Elliot Wave Analysis, Which I think has some validity, there is "Elliot Wave Principle" by Frost and Prechter ( New Classic Library, ,Inc, Gaineville, GA, 1978) and a book called "Super Timing" by an Englisj fellow namedBeckman ( Milestones Pubblishers, London).
All these books are good, but one can learn the most from the markets themselves. Everytime I trade in a stock, I wirte down the reasons why I did what i did. Doing this helps me ceement in my mind the characteristics of a winning trade, It also hels me learn from my mistakes. Mind you I have no qualms about admitting that i have learnt more from my mistakes. The good point is that I dont commit them again after learning from them.

Hi All,
I am glad at lthere were some questions asked about the recommendations that i had posted. Thanks paresh for raising these questions. Here are your questions and my answers.
What is the meaning of the word "u" in the recommendation?.
The symbol "U" stands the side in which u will be wanting the trade to go. In the said recommendations it was on the upside that u will want the trade to go. Hence the "U".

Also, I take it that when you say put in your trade at the closing of the day when Nifty condition is satisfied, you mean after 2:30pm or more like 3:15pm??
Yes it would be better to start with 2.30 onwards to know what is achieving the said target. After that the actual trade should be taken after 3.15 onwards. So for action purposes u can take the critical time to mean 3.15 pm.

What will be the exit point?
That will be told to customers in the email which we send to them at the end of that day. So for the said day it will come to you by 10.00 pm on the day u have bought a particular stock. In case u have taken a position and the target is not being achieved we will inform u in the market hours on a real time basis when u should get out.
I hope these satisfy u.
If there are any more questions they r most welcome.

Hi All,
this is how the recommendations have to be read. There are two pricec columns one which gives the close as of the day and the other is of the trigger. The days close is the pricee of the stock as it closed on the day this recommendation was sent to u i.e 11/16/07. This pricec has nothing to do with execution of the trade. The trigger price is the price at which u will buy the stock on the next trading day. The trtrigger price is the price as of the close, which means that even if this price is touched intraday u will not buy it at that point of time. This is done to ensure that u buy it only when it is closing above th said price or above. The nifty trrigger mentioned on top is another condition that will needd to be satisfied. The pricec given for nifty futures trigger is the price above which the nifty should be holding when the day is closing. There is one mroe condition which can be given out to people who are our clients. these three conditions togather go to make a kethal ammunitin at ur disposal in stock taking.

Hi All,
My package ultimately is now operational in real time basis. The attache file gives u a extract of how i recommend to my clients. The said file comes to my clients on the closing of the day i.e in this case it is 11/16/07. It tells u what is to be done at the close on the next trtading day.

So havent got much to pen down as i will just sit it out till i see something worthwhile. Oh by the way when i say i will sit out i mean i will sit out of writing here. I shall be trading for sure. The hurly charts in nifty cash have given a sell signal at 5154.95 and I am out of everything. The market today was a real nicec mother i should say it gave signals in Bhel, LT and tatamotors on hourly charts and all of them so easily fructified their targets. It was impossible to come here and write anything about it as i have clients to be handled and my own positions too. Hence writing has to wait. There is need for clarification here. I had written in my thread of eldersgull diary that i wont be participating in the stocks right now. While as my previous post here said that i will wait to buy ITC. To a lay reader it may seem contradictory. It is not. What i have written in the thread is to take hourly charts while as what i am writing here is for day charts. The two are very different. A casual reader of my posts will be confused by this. But this is not the fora to exxplain to a casual reader what is happening it is for a trtader to undeerstand what i am writing and the context in which i am writing that. I hope the reader is nto too confuse with it. There is very limited i can do about his/her confusion.

There is only one stock that i am concentarting on at the moment from the long side and that is ITC. But lot of work needs to be done by the stock the level to wacth out for is 187.30 at the days close. That is one condition that needs to be satisfied, there are a couple of more so wont say anything about buying it right now. But by 3.30 pm i am sure that one will be able to take a call on it. As i write this ITC is ruling at 189.30 and so it is more then ahead of our required figure. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

I was just going through the hourly charts and i have this to say " tomorrow at 11.00 if it (nifty cash) were to close above 5014 then i will renter on the long side. On monthly, Weekly Daily charts the nifty is cosily placed. On hourly charts though the first signs of taking a breather are evident. Today a signal at 11.00 on nifty cash has not fructified its target. This is the first sign of weakness. Tomorrow i think if it does close above 5014 at 11.00 am then i will be drawn to it from the long side. i will be extremely careful though. Remember our first aim in any trade is to safegaurd our capital the profits take care of themselves. Eventually as it runs out of steam there will come a time when the first hourly chart signal will fail, ,hat is our cue to be standing out. Buying, selling and not doing anythig is a active position a trader can take. It takes quite a character to stand on the sidelines when seemingly so much is happening. All the above that i have written is with hourly charts in mind, mind u about that.

I am sorry because in my earlier post i had written that the hourly closing for "2" instead of 1.00 pm was at 4995.. The pattern that is being formed in hourly charts is one of "basing bottom". The break out has happeneed at 12.57 at 4988. As i am wacthing the tick by tick chart there has been a very nice pull back from the levels of 4995 to 4988 and this is extremely good for the stock what needs to be remembered from the long side is that it should not be closing below 4988 as that would be a bit worrysome. The meausring implication also tkaes us to the target that my systems gives me which is at 5010-5015. So all ye pls stay on course, we are likely to see a nice landing, But for the pilo that is me its never over till we ahve arrived and the plane has stopped successfully. So enjoy ur ride.

The market has managed tosurive the first two hours. The signals whenever they come about fructify with great ease. It is not the case here Today the market has given a buy at 11.00 am at 4976.25 and has meandered at that level this means that there is great indecision in the markets. The level for 2.00 pm is worth watching out for. The closing price at 2.00 pm at which the signal will be negated is at 4975. Having said that i should also give u the target that is to be achieved for this signal, it comes to 5010-5015. I think we are smoothly sailign as of now. i was trrying my best today to juggle between my hourly positions and these postings but have to say it i faileed miserably. I would surely have been able to tell u all which scrip to sell instead of the posting that i gave which talked about a impending top. But i guess when u work the way i do there is no gainsaying the fact that i cant be doing both things writing and also trading. It is perfectly okay when u r trading day charts but when u get down to the game in hurly charts only signal points can be mentioneedd nothing more then that, there is never tie enough when in hourly charts.
